Maple Syrup in Fast Forward

Mon Feb 2, 2009, 12:08 PM
My brother and sister have been doing this "cleanse". It consists basically of taking laxatives and eating nothing but a juice made from lemons, maple syrup, cayenne pepper, and water and drinking nothing but water.
I tried it out. Be aware this diet will do NOTHING for already healthy people.
People do this diet over a period of 10 - 40 days. Mine lasted 4.
Not because I gave up. But because I realized I was already healthy.
People who aren't healthy go through horrible things like cramps and splitting headaches and mucus from their sinuses in the first few days. Then as they continue they can smell things extra clear. And then by the end they don't crave food anymore.
I went through this in FAST FORWARD. Day 1 Slight headache no cramps no mucus discharge. Day 2 Fighting the urge to actually CHEW my food for once. Can smell things extra well. Pot smokers smell the worst, FYI. By day 3 I didn't crave food anymore.
Not to mention through this my brother and sister took me to a gym to help sweat out toxins in the steam room. While they said they were dying from the heat I was just blacking out from loss of nutrients.

I didn't need this diet at all. I lost a few pounds in a few days.. which means going from 110 to around 105 - 100. probably because this diet resembles going anhorexic!.
I had a friend who divulged me in the secrets of anhorexia for losing weight. Taking laxatives and not eating anything but maybe a glass of milk in the morning and tums through the day to suppress any appetite.
That's exactly what this is.

Do I recommend the diet? YES if you are overweight and eat lots of red meats and greasy foods... and NO if you are already thin and eat lots of healthy foods.

Yes - because it does make you stop craving those gross things. And it actually makes you sick when you try eating them again, much like going vegetarian.

No - because it just ends up making you look like a meth addict and what's the point of releasing toxins when you're already living a healthy lifestyle. There's such thing as OVER-DOING the healthy stuff.
If you don't need a cleanse. DON'T DO IT.

Now that I'm done with it... I'm gonna go CHEW some REAL food.

if you like eating you'll fail
and if you do this you have to not smoke pot the entire time.. or cigarettes, or drink alcohol..
